Girls and Rugby?    Some say it is not a Rugby game until  there is blood and true to the  Game this was a true Rugby game!  While not nearly as aggressive as the Men it was still fun to watch and shot.  Thanks for the invite to go shoot the game.  The game was between Sierra Foothills Rugby and  Rio Linda

Once again nothing worthy of being on the front cover of any magazines but still a few OK shots.

Enjoy.

I’m a bit out of practice apparently as my first Rugby shoot of the season all turned out be a bit soft.   Skills really atrophy when they are not being used.  Anyway I  think I managed to get decent shot but nothing worth writing home about.

I’m actually starting to understand this game.   The shot of the day is up above and the fully gallery is located Here.   Once again if you want to use the photo in any way other than to just view them on the site here please contact me.  I can provide much higher resolution images without the watermark.

Shot another rugby game with my nephew.  I’m starting to get the basics of how this game works.   I’m not yet sure how how many points you score for a bloody knee.

Anyway….I’ve uploaded the stack to the gallery and show the photo of the day below.

Line out

This was my first introduction to rugby.  Even after shooting most of a game and reading up on it on wikipedia I’m still not convinced I understand the game well enough to describe how one would play it.  It is obviously a very physical game.

I think below is one of the better shots of the day even though it is not a picture of my nephew Mathew who was playing and was my reason for shooting the game.

But I might get into trouble with my little Sister if I don’t show her little 6’5″ boy as well:

After the game one of the players from the opposing team came up and asked if I had a website.  Since I was asked I figured I would post a pile of the outtakes here in case someone wishes to have a copy. My usual rules of copyright etiquette apply here.
